You walk to the Auberge le Barbeau bistro in Sippenaeken in less than 10 minutes, where you can order a local dish with a Belgian specialist beer.
At the Drielandenpunt, you can search for the path through the labyrinth and literally stand at the point where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany converge. Go for a wonderful walk through the forest, ending up at 't Hijgend Hert for a Limburg beer or a cappuccino. The Vijlenerbos stretches from Vijlen to Vaals, where Boscafé 't Hijgend Hert and the Drielandenpunt (where three borders meet) are well-known destinations that are certainly worth a visit. The Dutch border is a few minutes’ walk away and, from the hiking trail that passes by the front door, you can walk towards the forested Vijlenerbos (NL) or towards the typical Belgian village of Sippenaeken. Bicycles can be stored in the locked cellar on request. The hills, forests and open countryside make the Voer region and neighbouring South Limburg a paradise for cyclists. We understand that you might like to bring your bicycle. On top of the hill, a relaxation area has been constructed for every Woodhouse guest to use, with a fire basket, a sun shade, loungers and cosy mood lighting for the evening.
The White is light and makes you feel as if you're in Bali, The Green is, as the name implies, green and has a jungle look with plants, while The Gold has golden and ochre elements and a Moroccan feel.Įach tiny house has its own private terrace with a sun canopy for the summer season. There’s something for everyone: The Black is sleek, dark, and calming. This is reflected in the colour of the bathroom tiles, the walls, the kitchens, and the accessories. The owner wanted them all to have differently-themed interiors, with different colour schemes. All the properties have a hip, cool look, and the uniqueness of this project makes it the perfect addition to the Beaujean Vacances portfolio. They all have different aspects, so that each one affords a different view over the rolling landscape. The tiny houses have been built into a hillside and the topmost one, The Black Tiny House, sits at the top the hill. Owner Daphne believes that, nowadays, sustainability must be the top priority wherever possible. Sustainability was paramount throughout the project.
This unique ‘Woodhouse’ project began in March 2019 and, by April 2020, the four wooden tiny houses were finished.
